Industrial coatings & linings
Protective coatings and tank linings, including the abrasive blasting and surface preparation that decide whether any of it lasts.
What it is
Most coating failures are preparation failures. A coating applied over mill scale, rust or a contaminated surface will lift, no matter how good the product is or how carefully it goes on.
We do the preparation ourselves — abrasive blasting to the required standard, cleaning and profiling — so the surface going into the coating is the surface the specification assumes.
From there we apply protective coatings and linings to steel, concrete and tanks, with the system chosen for what the substrate is exposed to rather than what is cheapest to apply.
How the work runs
Preparation is the part that takes the time, and it is the part that determines whether the coating is still sound in five years.
Survey
We assess the substrate, the existing coating and the exposure it has to survive.
Blast and prepare
Abrasive blasting to the specified standard, then cleaning and profiling.
Apply
Coating or lining applied to the specified film thickness in controlled conditions.
Inspect
Thickness and adhesion checked, and the results recorded before we leave site.
Need something coated or lined?
Tell us the substrate and what it is exposed to. We will specify a system and quote the preparation honestly.
